COMET EX 320 INDUSTRIAL EXTRACTION SYSTEM FOR METAL & PVC CHIPS 

The COMET EX 320 is a powerful, high capacity industrial extraction system designed for collecting large volumes of aluminium swarf, PVC chips, light metal particles and dust from demanding production machinery. 

 

Available with motor configurations from 4 kW to 11 kW and airflow rates of up to 3,400 m³/h, the COMET EX 320 can be matched to large saws, CNC machining centres, profile processing lines and other machinery producing substantial quantities of swarf and dust. 

 

Its generous 320 litre collection capacity helps reduce the frequency of emptying, making it particularly suitable for busy aluminium and PVC window, door and profile manufacturers. Powerful extraction at source helps keep machinery and surrounding working areas cleaner while reducing manual cleaning and production interruptions. 

 

The COMET EX 320 uses cyclonic separation to capture more than 90% of the extracted material before it reaches the main filter. Aluminium swarf, PVC chips and heavier particles are separated from the airflow and directed into the collection container. 

 

This reduces the amount of material reaching the main filter, helping prevent premature clogging, maintain extraction performance and extend filter life. It also reduces cleaning and maintenance requirements, making the system well suited to continuous, high volume production environments. 

 

The substantial 320 litre container allows the system to collect large quantities of swarf before emptying is required. This is particularly beneficial when extracting from automatic saws, CNC machines and production lines where smaller collection containers could cause frequent interruptions. 

 

The large capacity helps minimise machine downtime, reduces operator involvement and supports a cleaner, more efficient production process. 

 

Vibration cleaning is fitted as standard to the COMET EX 320. It vibrates the fabric filter to release coarser surface contamination into the collection container and is generally suitable for aluminium or PVC chips with limited dust. 

 

Optional pneumatic piston cleaning provides a more intensive mechanical action. A compressed air powered piston repeatedly moves the fabric filter vertically to dislodge accumulated dust and debris. It can be activated manually or configured to operate automatically when extraction finishes. 

 

Premium counter flow air cleaning is recommended for fine, light or dry dust. It replaces the fabric filter with a high efficiency Class M cartridge filter and uses compressed air pulses from inside the cartridge outwards to release embedded dust. Manual cleaning is included with the premium configuration, with automatic operation also available. 

 

 

An ATEX Zone 22 certified configuration is also available where a suitable risk assessment identifies a potentially explosive atmosphere.
